Looking For Photo Competitions?

Competing in photography competitions can be a fun way to learn about photography and measure the quality of your work against others. However, finding relevant competition, which haven't finished yet can be a different matter.

Sure, Google will turn up lots of results and if you have the time to explore them you will probably find what you are looking for (eventually). But, there is an easier way.

Photocompete.com is a website that aims to list current photography competitions from around the globe in one place.

This month things are a little more difficult. I have been looking for some inspiration for the past couple of weeks with little success. I have tried a few different things but was unhappy with all of them.

"Open contest. No theme, only creativity"

FourThirdsPhoto Forum offer a monthly photo competition with a different theme each month. This year I hope to enter as many of these as I can.

What better way to improve your photography than taking the challenge of a set theme competition on a regular basis and then being judged by your peers.

They do offer a small prize each month as an incentive, but I suspect like a lot of other people this is not my motivation.

So here goes with my first entry...
