Pixmantec Rawshooter Migration Tool

Well, it seems that the Pixmantec Rawshooter Migration Tool which was due for release on the 5th March 2007 is not ready yet. Adobe are now due to make an announcement on the 9th March 2007 of a new release date.

The delay in release of the conversion tool has been attributed to ensuring that it meets Adobe's standards.

Lightroom will generate Lightroom-compatible XMP files from your RSP settings that the migration tool will update.

Like me if you have several thousand images this tool is a must if you previously used Rawshooter Premium to process you RAW images and you now want to use Lightroom without having to re-process all your images again.

Well it looks like the release has been put back again. An announcement of the new release date is now due on the 16th March.

Well the time has come and gone yet again. Still no announcement from Adobe on the conversion tool. I suspect that right about now people are beginning to wonder if it will ever be released.

If it is not ready as least tell us. Don't just ignore everyone who is trying to find out when and if it will be released.

Thanks Xandros - I'll check it out. It's great that you've created an app to bring the ratings across, but I really want to transfer image adjustments across to Lightroom.
